So, after introductions and the first provocative questions, I ask Emily Jane White about the relationship between her surroundings and songwriting.
She describes her upbringing as being located between the forest and the sea in Northern California, where the climate tends to be cool. So, you always need a coat.
And this whole combination of scenic elements is reflected in the sad streak inherent to Emily Jane White's music. As a songwriter, she is quite aware of it.
